Finch is 6!
SIX!
It doesn’t seem possible that we have known this good mood dude for six whole years.
We started the celebrations a week early with a family party, then a friend party a few days later, and finally his actual birthday upon which we began our South Dakota road trip. He woke up at 6:00 am, which was early but fitting. Up at 6 to turn 6!
He got a bunch of cool gifts, including LEGO, STEM toys, Minecraft stuff, a trampoline and a drifting/spinning scooter. For his special day he wanted cake for breakfast, a pizza Lunchable for lunch and an A&W bacon cheeseburger for dinner. Done!

One day when I took a shower he accidentally bought $106 of Roblox on Xbox
Usually starts his day with three applesauce pouches
Will talk to any stranger
Can count to 130+ and read 50+ sight words
Graduated TK and will start kindergarten in the fall
Learned how to roll his eyes
Writes left-handed but does everything else right-handed
We rode bikes 2.5 miles to the ice cream shop recently and I literally couldn’t catch him on the way home. So fast!
HEALTH
Finch is at the top of the charts for height and weight. He is ¾” taller than Rooney was at this age. His doctor predicted he will be 6’3” or 6’4” when he grows up, which would make him the tallest in our family!

As far as sleep goes, we start his bedtime routine at 7:00 pm and we’re usually out of his room by 7:30 pm. It’s early, but he wakes up at 7:00 am no matter what, won’t nap and needs his sleep!
