beauty: jemma kidd lip color

i’ve never done a beauty post before, but i just have to share these two lipsticks with you. normally i am a chapstick girl (i don’t even own gloss), but recently i’ve tried to venture out. and i have fallen in love with these two lipsticks! i think it’s because they don’t feel like lipstick. they are not heavy or sticky at all—it feels very moisturizing and natural. have you tried these?

• belle de jour shows up as a nude color on me (it’s actually called glaze rather than lipstick). you can see it on me in this post. i have already used the entire tube and now it is only available online so i’m going to order a few more.
• minx, on the other hand, is a bright pink color. it is so pretty and it kind of shimmers. however, it is sheer so you can put on just one layer and still feel natural, or add a few coats and look more glammed up. it’s a very girly color. (i’m wearing it in this post.)

these lipsticks costs $16/tube. i think it’s a little spendy—especially at first because i didn’t know if i was going to like it—but the risk definitely paid off! i think these two shades are a good way to introduce yourself to lipstick if you don’t wear any now.

now let’s see if i get brave enough to try a red color! my nana would be so proud.
